Project Location:

The project is located at Wadi Al Dhuwaihir Wilayat Kabhourah.

The main component of the project:

• Design of a bridge across Wadi Al Dhuwaihir Wilayat Kabhourah and 4.5 Km of road.

According to the TOR, the Scope of Work is detailed as follows:

The scope of the consultancy service shall be achieved through two main Stages as follows:

1.    Pre - Design Stage

a)    Review all literature available from any relevant source of information.

b)    Investigate the areas as to land topography, climatic conditions, availability of construction materials, etc.

c)    Perform Hydrological study.

d)    Perform traffic study.

e)    Perform soil investigation as necessary and feasible to determine design parameters.

f)     Examine sites proposed for the works as to important factors affecting such works.

g)    A study report to cover the points mentioned above and all other aspects concerning the project. An indication of cost should be given at this stage. The report should include for a conceptional design in the form of colored sketches and photographs in a suitable size to approval of this Ministry.

2.    Design Stage

a)    Prepare Design Report.

b)    Prepare Preliminary Designs, Plans and cost estimates. An outline design and planning report should be submitted to the Ministry for review and approval.

c)    Prepare final design and cost checks.

d)    Prepare tender documents and final cost estimate including priced BOQ.

e)    Prepare Bill of Quantities.

f)     Carryout tender analysis and evaluation of tenders received and give recommendation to award.
