  • Narrative Description of the Project:

    Main objective of this 86 Kms road is to connect interior locations like Juffa,Sadh,Fusit,hadbin and other villages to Salalah Via Mirbat in the Dhofar region of Sultanate of Oman.The terrain ranges from rolling to hilly.Project consists of 55 nos box culverts and 75 nos of pipe culverts and 50 nos of Irish crossings and 8 Irish bridges. Cross-section of road consists of 7 mtr wide paved single carriageway with 1mtr wide asphalt shoulders and 1mtr rounding on each side. Asphalt base course shall be of 50mm thick over sub-base of 200mm thick.

     

  • Description:

    1) Review of engineering design of the road done earlier by other agencies in terms of reducing overall cost of construction. This was achieved by extensive use of digital maps and the data collected in the form of traffic studies, material testing, study on topography and profile and reviewing horizontal and vertical profile of the earlier design.
    2) Services also includes preparation of fresh tender documents and drawings based on review of old drawings
