Narrative Description of the Project:

Renardet was appointed for the Design & Construction Supervision of wadi diversion works at Hisn Shumookh Palace. The primary components of this work can be summarised as follows: ? Ensuring the safety of the workmen inside the excavations by ensuring the stability at all times; ? Excavation of the low flow channel and processing the excavated material to produce material suitable for use in the zoned earth berm; ? Construction of the earth berms; ? Provision of riprap slope protection and gravel erosion protection to earth berms; ? Construction of drains below wall foundations to evacuate local rainwater; ? Preparation of records of construction; ? Maintenance of the works for the period stipulated in the Conditions of Contract.

Description:

1) Assist the Employer in Contract Administration and in Contract Management
2) Provide guidance and direction to the Contractor
3) Furnish all necessary ground and topographic data, including setting out of control points
4) Review and recommend for approval revision (if any) of Contractor's work schedule
5) Establish standardized Quantity and Quality control programs (Quality Plan)
6) Establish Safety plan
7) Review and approve Contractor's working drawings and temporary works proposals
8) Provide supervision of works to ensure Contractor's compliance with the specs and contractual obligations
9) Notify the Employer about Contractor's claims and provide the Client with the evaluation
10) Prepare variation orders, evaluate request of time extension
11) Keep the Client informed about progress and problems or potential problems
12) Coordination with Local Authorities and Third Parties involved in the works
