  • Narrative Description of the Project:

    The project commissioned by Muscat Municipality comprises the geotechnical investigation of a planned housing area to assess the ground conditions with respect to construction waste materail having been dumed at this location. Renardet prepared the terms of Reference for the geotechnical investigation to be carried out by a specialised sub-contractor. This process is currently in hand. from the results of the geotechnical investigation a report will be prepared giving recommendations concerning any ground treatment or further testing prior to developing the roads and the building plots. Included in the project is a comprehensice hydrology study and road design.

    1) Detailed Topographic Survey
    2) Perform a hydrology study and hydraulic design to determine the drainage structures and wadi channelization
    3) Preparation of ToR for the geotechnical investigation and subsequent reporting
    4) Recommendations for ground treatment prior to construction
    5) Prepare design report, preliminary and detailed design for roads, Engineers cost estimate
    6) Coordination with concerned authorities to obtain their approval on the design
