Narrative Description of the Project:

The project is located in Quriyat about 90 km away from Capital Muscat. The areas of the internal roads to be designed are Al Ainnain, Al Dhabab, Dagmar, Al Hajar, Al Sulha and Al Hail Ghaf, characterized by varying hilly terrain areas. Therefore, it is to be designed in such a way to achieve an optimum balance between cut and fill quantities and levels of the existing houses under construction and or those constructed already are to be designed accordingly. The length of the road is about 20 km. The main work items are summarized as follows: 1) Assess the physical and geotechnical constraints of the site 2) Review the existing ground levels survey drawings and cross check the same 3) Prepare grading plan to establish the proposed plot and road levels for each site taking into account the design of the retaining wall between the plots 4) Prepare a surface water drainage for each site facilitating natural gravity drainage as far as possible.

Description:

1) Detailed Topographic Survey
2) Review the Master Plan of the areas and other relevant studies
3) Perform a hydrology study and hydraulic design to determine the drainage structures
4) Design all necessary structures and other elements
5) Prepare design report, preliminary / detailed design and Engineers cost estiamte
6) Coordination with concerned authorities to obtain their approval on the design.
