This project is located about 150 km south west of Muscat in A?Sharqiya Region. The project aimed at studying three alternative routes connecting Wilayat Dima and Tayeen with Muscat - Sur Road and select the best one. The comparative study recommended Wadi Tayeen Route. The detailed design was to be made for the selected route (60 km) in addition to 24 km link roads, making the total length of the project to be 84 km. These roads required a comprehensive hydrological study and hydraulic design to carefully protect the roads from the frequent crossings and encroachments of two major wadis in the area, namely, Wadi Tayeen and Wadi Dima.
