Renardet has been awarded a project by the Ministry of Public Works and Highways, Road Maintenance Fund (RMF), funded by Workd Bank for “Consultancy Services for Supervision of Periodic Maintenance for 45 Km in Amran - Hajjah”, Republic of Yemen. Scope of Work Services: The main objective of Consultant’s services is to provide maintenance supervision and be responsible to ensure that the Contractor comply with the contract terms and predetermined services. Completion is planned to be within 18 months. Other objectives of Consultant’s services are: - Establishment of Management Control System - Contract administration. - Approval of Contractors’ programs, construction techniques and materials. - Supervising the Civil Works. - Program of quality control of the Works. - Ensure work zone safety issues. - Ensure that periodic maintenance works ,road safety works, materials, equipment and workmanship are in compliance with required standards. - Establishment of management control systems for civil engineering works contracts including maintaining control over estimated works quantities and contract outcome costs, monitoring the quality and progress of the Works, the disbursements, and maintaining full technical records of the works. - Monthly Progress Reports. - Road Maintenance Fund Engineer’s administration of Contracts. - Plan and prepare Work Orders. - Acceptance and/or approval, as appropriate, of submissions required from the Contractor, including, but not limited to - key staff appointments, insurances, guarantees, licenses, programs, method statements, traffic management plans, environmental management plans, safety measures, suppliers and materials for incorporation in the works, the quality assurance and control plans, laboratory provisions and execution of the testing program, and all other submissions related to subcontractors, plant, and equipment. - Direct supervision of the works and monitoring of progress. - Establishment and management of a program of quality control of the Works. - Final Report and Defect Liability Report.
