Project Location:

The project is located in Madinat Al Ilam area in Muscat Governorate.

The main component of the project:

Madinat Al Ilam area, which is bounded from the north by Al Inshirah Street and Muscat Expressway from the south, is one of the early developed areas in Muscat Governorate. Although existing drainage channels and drainage structures are available in the area, many of those structures are not well integrated, experience damage, limited right of way and many of the natural wadi channels are either partially or fully encroached.

In this project the Consultant should carry out the necessary hydrological assessment and topographic survey in order to study one the main channels in the area which is starting from Madinat A1 Ilam Street, crossing Sultan Qaboos Street until its converge with the sea. The Consultant should study the current drainage system in the area long/upstream/downstream of this channel and should propose the required measures to achieve an effective drainage system and prevent future damage or further encroachment.

According to the ToR, the Scope of Work is divided into phases as follow:

Stage 1 – Hydrological Assesment, Hydraulic Modeling, Topographical Survey and Soil Investigation &
                Drainage System

Stage 2 – Preliminary Design & Cost Estimate of the project
