Project Location:

Wadi Bani Khalid is situated in the Governorate of Ash Sharqiyah around 30 kms North East of Bidiyah (250 kms southeast of Muscat).  It forms part of the outstanding natural heritage of Oman and is valued for its scenic pools.

The main component of the project:

The objective of the is project is to develop the infrastructures related to visitor safety, improve the pools area, maintenance, redevelopment and fit out of the existing Visitor Centre, and expanding visitor parking, as well as provide interpretation and navigational aids for around the pools and wider area.

Based on the TOR, a brief list of the engineering works initially envisaged includes:

• Data Collection
• Feasibility and Concept Design ­- Develop and present concepts for interpretive Plan and draft graphics options for signage and promotional collateral.
• Preliminary Design - Hydrological study, Soil Testing, Topographic Surveys, Utilities, Electrical Supply and Power Distribution System, Health and Safety, Preliminary Cost estimates and Economic Evaluation, Environmental Impact Assessment, Preliminary Architectural Drawings,
• Detailed Design and Tender Documents - Final Design Drawings, Tender Documents, Consulting Engineers Estimate
• Supervision of the Construction Works
